Scheduling your Project

After making your deposit and signing the quote, we will reach out to you to schedule both the templating and installation dates. If you don't receive a notification, please don't hesitate to call our office. Please understand that we are unable to provide specific time frames for the day of your appointment, as we have multiple appointments each day, and the time frames can vary due to the unique nature of each project. However, we do make courtesy calls ahead of all appointments. If you have a specific time constraint for the day of your appointment, please inform us so we can make suitable accommodations.

During Measure/Template

This step is crucial to your countertop project as we'll finalize all project details during this phase. An adult decision-maker, aged 18 or older, should be present during the templating process and must approve all the details. Please ensure all items are cleared from the countertops as changes cannot be made after templating. Existing countertops need to be removed before templating to ensure an accurate fit for the new countertop, we do not template on existing countertops. Please be aware that a trip charge may be applied if the job site is unprepared after the measure has been confirmed.

Sinks, Faucets and Appliances

All items to be coordinated with your countertop need to be available on-site before the templating appointment. Additionally, it's essential that your sinks are delivered to us, as our templaters are unable to transport sinks due to their small car size constraints. For farm sinks, they should be properly installed in the cabinet and adjustable for templating. Please be aware that any delays in providing your sink during the templating phase can impact the project timeline, and no modifications to specifications can be made after the template is finalized. It is the customer's responsibility to verify that the sink fits inside the designated sink cabinet.

Cabinets

Prior to the templating appointment, it is imperative that ALL cabinets, including corbels, supports, panels, and other related elements, are firmly anchored to the walls and/or floor and are in their definitive positions. The responsibility for ensuring that cabinets are level, support structures are in place, and any necessary decking requirements are met rests with the contractor or homeowner. To ensure the countertop lays flat and to prevent undue stress on the corners, cutouts, and seams, it is vital that cabinets are securely fastened to the walls and/or floor.

During Installation

Our installers handle heavy materials, so we recommend keeping a safe distance from the work area and ensuring safe access to the job site. Following installation, we take care of cleaning the immediate vicinity and leave the job site in a 'broom swept' condition. Please be aware that countertop installation is a construction process, and some dust may be generated. You might consider draping or covering areas to isolate the work zone. It's essential to disconnect all stove and plumbing connections in advance and remove appliances to facilitate our installation process. Please note that Gargoyle is not a licensed plumber or electrician.

Tear Out & Disposal

When you contract Gargoyle for tear-out services, this entails the removal of your current countertops and the responsible disposal of debris from the site. Normally, tear-out work is conducted before the templating process. It's important to note that we do not handle any plumbing, electrical, or gas-related work. These tasks must be arranged and completed by licensed professionals. Please be aware that this service does not guarantee the preservation of your tile backsplash.

Seams

We cannot provide guarantees regarding seam placement. Customers grant the fabricator the authority to determine seam placement at their discretion. The location and frequency of seams are influenced by factors such as material direction, countertop configuration, and installation requirements.

Surface Quality

Each stone type has its unique characteristics, which may include pitting, fissures, and other natural features. These variations are inherent in natural materials like granite and quartz. They don't affect the product's performance and should be expected as part of the stone's natural beauty. It's essential to understand that these variations do not affect the product's performance in any way and do not qualify for product replacement.

Cutouts

There will be cutouts generated during production; however, please note that this excess material is considered waste, treated as scrap, and is not included as a component of your final product.
